Crown Highways have today donated 10 Christmas Dinner hampers to local foodbank ‘Burntwood Be a Friend’ who are going to distribute them to 10 families within the Burntwood area.
A food hamper consisting of a 3 course Christmas Dinner including a Turkey, local fresh vegetables, all the famous trimmings along with a starter and dessert to feed a family of 4 have been put together using a number of local businesses.
With many families being massively affected by COVID-19, Crown Highways wanted to give back to the local community and provide a small amount of Christmas Dinner’s to families who this year would have had to go without.
Burntwood be a Friend have contacted a chosen family in need from each of the local Primary schools within the area to distribute the hampers fairly.
Steve Jones, Chairman of Crown Highways said: “Having a Christmas Dinner is something that the majority of people would take for granted. After what has been a difficult year for all, this is the least that Crown Highways can do to make a small amount of people’s Christmas more enjoyable.”
