Crown Highways is delighted to announce a new sponsorship agreement with European Tour Caddy, Connor Winstanley.
Crown already supports its local community with continued sponsorship of several local sporting clubs and charities; however, this is a new one for both Crown Highways and Connor, as the company takes another step into supporting local talent in its endeavours.
Local to Crown’s Manchester Office, Connor graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a degree in Golf Management in 2019
Post-graduation, Connor decided that he would like to ‘get on a bag’ and give caddying a shot, after first caddying in the Arnold Palmer Cup in 2016.
Connor has now caddied for Richard Mansell for 2 years, who himself has just earned his playing rights on the European tour, after finishing 4th in the Challenge Tour rankings.
Together as a team, Connor and Richard have worked their way up to the European Tour after competing on both the PGA Europro Tour and the Challenge Tour.
Being on tour comes with a higher level of expenses, which is why Connor decided to get a corporate sponsor on board to support. With a number of options on the table, Connor opted to align with Crown Highways.
Steve Jones, Chairman of Crown Highways commented saying:
“At Crown Highways, we encourage and embrace young talent and we have followed Connor’s progress closely over the past 2 years.
“We are now delighted to formally support Connor, in his maiden year, on the European Tour. We recognise the costs and stress associated with flying around the world and hopefully our support will take a little pressure off.
“Golf is a wonderful sport and Team Mansell is a partnership on the move, so we’re delighted to be involved.”
Connor Winstanley, European Tour Caddy said:
“I’d like to say a huge thanks to Steve and all the team at Crown for sponsoring me for the upcoming 2021 season. It’s an honour to represent such a fantastic company and hopefully this is just the start of a long successful partnership.”
