Burntwood has received its annual festive facelift and it’s Crown Highways who step in to bring the Christmas glow.
For many years, Crown Highways has provided the lights for the town Christmas tree, in addition to wiring them in to give the town centre its illuminated showpiece. The local Rotary club provide and put up the tree before Crown get to work.
No strangers to work in their community, Crown Highways take huge amounts of pride in being able to contribute to their local area.
See how Crown Highways helped one of their local primary schools…
The team involved were Crown MD Steve Jones, General Manager Mike Dale, Procurement Manager Richard Lamb, Transport Manager Jason Beason and MEWP Driver and member of the Street Lighting team, Richard Boot.
Steve Jones, Crown Highways MD said of the installation:
“We’ve been supporting this project for a number of years and work with the local community to light the tree each Christmas. It takes the team a couple of hours each year to do in their spare time and we all have fun putting it together.
It’s important for us to support the local community as many of our own staff live local and will hopefully be proud we’ve been able to put smiles on people’s faces as they travel and shop in the area.”
With the big switch on taking place last weekend (Sunday 27th Nov 2016) Burntwood is well and truly ready for Christmas. Let’s ho, ho, ho-pe it’s a cracker for everyone!
