The Crown team have been helping the local community in aiding the Chasetown Methodist Church located near to their offices.
On Friday 23rd September Crown Highways repaired the drains and gully’s free of charge as the covers on the car park drains had been causing problems for some time, as the seating for the surface grid had worn away.
One cast iron cover was broken because of the poor seating and a replacement was bought which only lasted one day!
Another drain was temporarily fixed with a wooden collar to aid the seating, but over time this stopped the church from being able to clear the drain.
The Church is very grateful for the assistance and expertise by Crown Highways in solving the problem.
Mike Dale, General Manager of Crown Highways said:
“Crown Highways are happy to support the local community as many of our workforce live locally, with the Church so close to our head office it is important to offer our services where we can.”
Peter Dunn, Chasetown Methodist Church:
“We have been suffering with flooding in the car park for some time we thank Crown Highways for their work in making the repairs to the drainage system, it will make a huge difference to the local community who use the church.”
