NERS audit passed for re-accreditation as Independent Connection Provider

Crown Highways Limited started its Jointing & Independent Connection Provider (ICP) journey 3 years ago under the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) part of the Lloyd’s Register Group Services Limited.

Initially, the journey began with Crown Highways working for one of their clients undertaking civil works and cable laying.

Whilst on the scheme, Crown experienced a number of customers and clients asking for help getting their connections delivered within their respective timescales and as a result of demand, the company decided to become an Independent Connection Provider (ICP) with jointing capabilities.

With a 3-yearly audit required, Crown Highways are proud to announce they have passed their most recent NERS audit and are re-accredited to deliver as an ICP.

Over this 3-year period, Crown Highways has delivered in all DNO areas except UKPN in England and Wales. Crown Highways increased the scope of its services to offer jointing requirements such as transfers, new connections and mains extensions. Crown has worked all Pilc, waveform, Hybrid and recently, Consac cables.

The NERS Website showcases all Crown Highways items in green indicating full accreditation which we gained through on-site assessments and company audits.

Crown Highways is now looking forward to their future in this industry, with plans to add LV Network Design to their capability in the near future in order to further help clients.

This, in turn, will increase capability, making Crown Highways Ltd a complete one-stop as an ICP.

Managing Director Mike Dale said:

“This is a fantastic achievement and we’re delighted to be re-accredited under NERS.

“I’d like to give a big thank you all of our team involved in helping us achieve this, with special thanks to Rob Peters (Electrical Quality Manager), Richard Boulter (Jointer) Dwain Clark (Electrical Works Supervisor) & Sofia Lake (Business Administration Apprentice) as without these four key team members doing the point assessments on-site with NERS and backroom governance to show our progress, this couldn’t have been achieved.”
