We’re known for our loop cutting experience across the UK, however when posed with a challenge of delivering a detection system comprising of both inductive loops and Radar technology we rose to the challenge.
The scheme on the M6 toll required a mixture of both technologies as the road layout included high concrete barriers to which radar could not be used, other locations were perfect for Wavetronix radar equipment.
Three brand new sites were constructed, columns erected, equipment installed and commissioned back to the West Midlands RCC. A further existing radar site was upgraded to add an additional two lanes of detection thus not needing the cost of an additional site.
The remaining loop sites were installed by our experienced loop cutting team and commissioned in one night time closure.
We worked with Wavetronix to deliver the system in five of shifts to the delight of main contractor Eurovia.
