Crown Highways continue to reach out into their community with the sponsorship of budding Enduro motocross star Dan Leadbetter.
Enduro Motocross involves a start line consisting of anything between 80 – 150 riders, with each race lasting 2 hours. A lap can be up to 18mins long consisting of steep hill climbs, big drops, woodland sections, off cambers, streams, rocks and all sorts of other obstacles.
Dan, aged 14, started riding motorbikes off-road with stabilisers at the age of just 3, and is a member of Burntwood based racing club ‘Fast Eddy Racing’, headed up by 4-time world Enduro racing champion Paul Edmundson.
Dan races most weekends all around the country, travelling to the races in the family camper van with Mum, Dad and younger brother Alex- a rider himself.
Since beginning his racing career, Dan has already taken out the Overall Winner Novice class in the Winter XC Championship 2016, in addition to 3rd place in the Youth class GBXC (Great British Cross Country) 2017.
Dan is currently leading the Rock Oil Summer series, having won 5 out of 7 rounds so far, keeping his goal of being 7 wins from 7 starts when the season reaches its climax.
Dan said:
“I’m really grateful to Crown Highways for their sponsorship and will be doing my very best to put the company name on the top spot every weekend.”
Mike Dale, MD of Crown Highways told us:
“As a company, we have a number of community projects that we support, and we feel Dan is a star in the making that can benefit from our help. We’ve been involved with Chasetown FC for some time now, as well as reaching out to a number of local schools in various ways- so it really means a lot to us to get behind our local youngsters when they could be on the path to something great.”
