Whilst causes for excitement and optimism may have been few and far between for us all over the last 12 months, exciting times now lie ahead for Crown Highways, with the imminent re-opening of its specialist training centre.
As of February 15th , Crown Highways is officially able to re-open the doors to its training centre for external clients.
With a fully COVID-19 compliant centre, Crown Highways can ensure that all training can go ahead whilst following all government social distancing rules and regulations. With ‘the skills gap’ often cited as a factor in limiting newcomers into the highways sector, the re-opening of its training centre offers much promise for both company and client alike.
Now with an extended offering, Crown Highways are introducing an additional 3 courses to the existing 50+ already available.
The new training courses added by Crown Highways are:
Lantra – 6244 – Safe Location and Avoidance of Underground Services
The course will enhance knowledge, understanding and skills to be able to be able to safely locate and avoid underground utilities apparatus and highway services.
It’s a bespoke course that will be tailored to trainee needs by the Instructor. The course has been approved by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
Upon successful completion, you’ll gain a certificate of competence and a Lantra Skills ID card.
Lantra – 6039 – Lorry Loader
This course will equip trainees with the knowledge and confidence to operate the machine safely, protecting both you and those around you.
This course offers a range of certificate options for the most common crane attachments depending on needs.
Duration: 3 days
Lantra – 6105 – Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment
Lantra’s Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification is designed for individuals who wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of health and safety in a construction or fencing environment, enabling them to work effectively and efficiently in the workplace.
This allows you to apply for your CSCS card including the Labourers Green card.
