Community / Crown stepping in to help with the community Christmas cheer

Burntwood is receiving its annual festive facelift this month and it’s Crown Highways that step in to carry the glow of Christmas.

Crown Highways has provided the lights for the city’s Christmas tree for many years, as well as installing them to give the city centre its illuminated showpiece.

Before Crown gets to work, the local Rotary club provides and sets up the tree.

Crown Highways takes huge amounts of pride in being able to contribute to their local area, and they are no strangers to work in their town.

Crown Highways Chairman Steve Jones told us:

For a number of years, we have been supporting this project and working with the local community to illuminate the tree every Christmas.

“Our team do it in their spare time a couple of hours each year and we all have fun putting it together.

“It is important to us to support the local community and give something back. Many of our own workers live locally and we want to be proud that we have been able to put smiles on the faces of people as they travel and shop in the city.

“The big switch is taking place on Sunday 24th Nov 2019, and we’re proud to do our bit in making sure that Burntwood is well and truly ready for Christmas.”
