News / Exciting collaboration as Suction Excavation enters into partnership
In an area of its business that Crown is seeing significant ongoing growth, the collaboration will see an increase in work for SEUK and provides Crown Highways with a trusted partner who upkeep the same high standards, morals, and work ethic as the team at Crown, creating a true partnership rather than simply a contractor/subcontractor relationship.
A relationship that dates back a couple of years, Crown initially enlisted the help of SEUK on some of its suction excavation works. So impressed was Crown with SEUK’s capability and service, that the company utilised SEUK for an ever-increasing percentage of its contracts.
One significant factor in Crown’s motivation to enter an official partnership with SEUK, is the company’s unique approach to excavation. SEUK utilises a high-powered suction system employed to remove all unwanted materials, both solid and liquid, from the excavation site, this is instead of using machinery to haul out soil, and in turn, reduces the risk of a cable strike, as one such innovation is designed to improve excavation speed whilst reducing associated health and safety risks.
SEUK has already taken the step of launching their trucks with new collaborative branding featuring both company logos.
Speaking of the collaborative partnership, Byron Mothershaw, Operations Manager at Crown Highways said:
“The new partnership with SEUK enables us to have continuity with the teams working on site and also within the office, we are able to form strong working relationships which in turn will help to increase productivity, efficiency and best practice on site.
“With SEUK’s ever growing fleet, they are able to help us to be reactive to our clients’ needs and align with our philosophy of always doing our best to help wherever we can no matter how short notice the call is. They also share the same vision regarding innovation and always looking for a way to get the job done no matter what problems a site may throw at us.
“A prime example was recently when we encountered a difficult site and needed to vacuum excavate further into the verge than the Vacuum Excavator could reach, SEUK offered the use of their BROKK attachment unit which enables vacuum excavation up to 40m without any major loss in suction thus enabling the job to carry on.”
Kevin Burke, Managing Director of SEUK commented saying:
“SEUK are delighted that we have entered a collaboration parentship with Crown Highways.
“This a major move forward for our business and I am so proud to be working so closely with Crown Highways on all projects that require our vacuum excavation services. Both I, and all at SEUK are 100% committed to making this collaboration work for both parties and I am looking forward to a long and close working relationship with all the team members from Crown’s Manchester and midlands depots.”
